LOCATION: This role can be based in any of Restless Development’s African or Asian Hub countries. We would consider applications from candidates based elsewhere to work remotely but our preference would be those based in the global south, in particular in Africa or South Asia.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for an experienced organiser or campaigner to join our global External Engagement team. You will help drive and connect our global Youth Power campaign and youth initiatives at Restless Development. If you’re committed to making positive changes happen, working with a global diverse team, and delivering at pace then this could be the role for you!
We want to help bridge the gap where young people have the incredible potential to solve the challenges they face, but lack the support, funding and networks to deliver the change they want to see. Together with Project Everyone and Action For Sustainable Development (A4SD) we run the Youth Power Campaign with the overall aim of strengthening youth action and campaigns in order to accelerate progress towards achieving the Global Goals (Sustainable Development Goals). This Campaign is led by the Youth Power Panel - 12 powerful young campaigners from around the world.
We are committed to building back a better world that meets the Global Goals in the next 10 years. Despite the impact that Covid-19 has had on young people and their communities, we’ve seen incredible youth-led actions, research, stories and campaigns creating positive change. In recent months the Youth Power Campaign has connected young people globally through Youth Power Solidarity Meetups and sharing actions.
Now we’re taking the campaign to the next stage, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic and passionate organiser who can help grow the scope and impact of the Youth Power campaign. In the next six months key activities will include supporting the Youth Power Panel to lead regular global solidarity meetups, and to plan and deliver a major global campaigning moment at the UN General Assembly in September.
